bucket list

I made a bucket list back in high school.  I’m sad to say that it got lost.  Should have made a goal on my bucket list not to lose my bucket list :)  Anyway, I remember it being quite comical.  I was convinced I need to list 100 things so getting dentures even made the cut because I was running out of real goals.  I figured I’d get dentures in the future so why not turn it into a goal?  I did re-list the top 4 goals I had for my life at that time.  I’m happy to say I’ve completed them…being a mother of six came much faster than expected!!  Today I re-wrote my bucket list with events I truly want to experience in my life.  I didn’t add something to my list just to look impressive or adventuresome.  This list is truly mine. There are barely over 30 items right now—not trying to stretch my imagination to get to 100 this time around.  I do reserve the right to add to my list in the future.

Last night as I was pondering my goals for life, I decided that there are somethings in my life that just fill time but don’t create anything of worth.  It may be drastic but I’ve gotten rid of facebook, pinterest, and my twitter accounts.  I lived without these social media before they came around and I can live without  them now.  I even think I’ll be a happier, more productive, less stressed me!  Here is to focusing on what I really want to fill my life with…along with living the gospel more fully.
